Huawei Mobile Services & Huawei AppGallery

Consulting and support for the go live in the new store: We support the Austrian broadcaster ORF, the Austrian Federal Railways ÖBB, iTranslate and many more to adapt their apps for the new Huawei AppGallery.

Three smartphones with screens of apps for Huawei Mobile Services

Huawei AppGallery is the new digital apps marketplace and is exclusively available for users with Huawei devices. What does this mean for app providers? Now their apps have to be available only in the Google Playstore or in Apple’s App Store but also in the Huawei AppGallery, if they don’t want their app to be replaced by the competitors’ one. Moreover, Huawei has a market share of 26 % on the smartphone market worldwide.

ORF, ÖBB, iTranslate, ... With the support of our know-how in the Huawei AppGallery

We are preferred partner of Huawei and support you during the go-live in the new store. App providers such as Austrian broadcaster ORF (with the ORF TVthek and ORFnews), the Austrian Federal Railways ÖBB, iTranslate have profited from our unrivalled know-how in this field and their apps are available for the Huawei AppGallery now.

Huawei Mobile Services Consulting: we know how to

Huawei wants users to be able to use all the important apps in the Huawei AppGallery. This means that apps have to be available for download and also work seamlessly on the devices. That’s when our expertise comes into play! As preferred partners of Huawei we check whether apps work correctly on modern Huawei devices. Do the apps work properly and seamlessly on Huawei smartphones? Does the app uses services that needs to be converted to Huawei Mobile Services? This includes service functionalities, location, card functionalities, push notifications and analytics. We assess the costs of converting the app and provide information about the right direction. This is important to make sure the app works correctly, regardless whether the app uses Google or Huawei services and without having to build new apps.

Competitors never rest

Some app providers think -as in the Olympic games – that “the most important thing is not winning, but taking part”. However, what works for the Olympic games does not necessarily apply for everything else. To market an app in the Huawei AppGallery even if all app functionalities are not available or do not work properly can result in frustrated users. Moreover, this might lead users to download the a competitor’s app, if the one they have used before does not work correctly on the new device. In this case it’s important to make some considerations, such as how important is the feature in question? How much are the costs to solve the problem? Can I afford to deliberately frustrate users of my app? Or even to lose them?
